Miss Christa's Music Studio - Kindermusik in Athens, OH

Miss Christa's Music Studio provides Kindermusik, Simply Music Piano Lessons and Themed Birthday parties to Southeast Ohio. All of our teachers have college degrees and are licensed to teach Kindermusik. Miss Christa is a certified Simply Music instructor.

Kindermusik with Miss Christa and Friends as been recognized as a Maestro Program for the past three years (2010, 2011, 2012). Students are learning rapidly and have a large variety of interesting pieces to play which in turn encourages them to continue with lessons and to practice. Miss Christa commonly hears from parents that they can't STOP their children from practicing. You are never too old to learn to play the piano.

Our space is clean, safe and spacious for birthday parties. For toddler, preschoolers and elementary aged children, activities can be designed around the party theme and we will entertain with music, dances, stories, and play for 45 minutes. For the tweens and teens, provide us with a parent approved play list and the children can have a dance party.

Kindermusik with Miss Christa and Friends
Kindermusik is an international company that is the number one choice for music and movement programs for children. Offering classes for newborns through seven year olds, the Kindermusik curriculum honors the parent as the child’s first and best teacher, works on whole child development through music and movement, is process-based (no performance expectation.). We strive to offer high quality teaching from highly qualified and caring educators, provide activities and materials to continue the learning at home, and help make great parenting even better through parent education and support. Classes are once a week for 45 minutes per week. We offer developmentally targeted age groups as well as a inter-age group Family Time class. Simply Music Piano Lessons
Simply Music lessons teach the concepts of learning to play the piano and study music from the approach that we teach and learn language. When we want a baby to talk, we don’t hand him a book and tell him to read. We communicate. We teach syntax, phrases, sentences. Music can be learned the same way. Before we teach a student to read, we teach them to generate music – lots of music – ballads, blues, accompaniments, classical, jazz etc. We also enable our students to self-generate music through composition and improvisation. This is the most logical piano method ever. Miss Christa has played piano for over 38 years and majored in piano in college. But, since Simply Music she has discovered a freedom and joy in playing that she had never discovered before. Her beginning students are doing the same and are soaring through the program. Parents are asking their children “stop” practicing rather than fighting to get them to do so. Piano lessons are taught in groups and can be started at age 5. You are never too OLD to play the piano. Miss Christa is a certified Simply Music educator and continues ongoing professional development to increase her knowledge of the program and the quality of lessons presented.

Birthday Parties
Miss Christa's Studio is a safe, clean, fun-filled environment for your child’s next birthday party. Party fees include 2 hours of studio rental, and 45 minutes of entertainment based on your child’s birthday party theme. Some recent parties have included: Scooby Doo, Lalaloopsy, Hello Kitty, Butterflies, Princesses, Trains, etc. We are also ready to start having parties for older children and tweens. Give Miss Christa a parent approved play-list and have a dance party for friends.

Many Saturdays and Sunday open for Birthday Parties - no muss, no fuss - we entertain and clean up for you!
